Overview

4 Ethernet to Eight E1 Mapper,
EOPM84

   This EOPM84 is a LAN to WAN converter that provides conversion from 4 10/100M Ethernet to multiple E1 frame. The EOPM84 provides 100M bits/s interface with 2.5M bits/s control bus (MDIO). The EOPM84 support standard based GFP Frame encapsulation/de-capsulation with
    (X 43 +1) scramble and optional FCS (32-bit CRC) and LCAS support . Maximum 4FE /4 VCG support . Can be programmed as 8E1/1VCG , 4E1/1VCG , 2E1/1VCG , 1E1/VCG .
The 100M External 16-bit SDRAM interface is employed to buffer the burst FE traffic from MII.
Maximum 2K-byte and minimum 64-byte Ethernet lengths are checked. The illegal FE packets such as CRC-error packet and runt/over- size packet can be optional dropped or pass through.
    The framer block will search E1 frame in either  CRC-4 multi-frame or non-CRC4 frame-mode.  The EOPM84 provides alarm reports for LOS, LOF, AIS, RAI (Far-End Failure) and LOM (loss of CRC-4 Multi-frame). It also provides code-violation, frame-error, and E-bit counters for performance monitoring.
