The EOSM4 is designed for SONET/SDH add/drop multiplexer, multi-service access platform for unidirectional single/dual ring applications. Up to 4 Ports of Ethernet payload can be mapped/demapped into/from Sonet/SDH Virtual Concatenation Group via the 4 RMII ports. Only SONET/SDH Low Order VC Virtual Concatenation SPE is supported, Virtual Concatenation SPE formats support up to VC12-21v/ VC11-28v. External RAM interface is also provided to compensate transmission delays for different VCG members. The maximum transmission delay EOSM can compensate is ±250ms by 64Mb of external SDRAM. |
