The 3-channel plesiochronous level 3 mapper, P3M3, is designed for SONET/SDH add/drop multiplexer, terminal multiplexer, and unidirectional dual and single ring applications. Multi-channel plesiochronous signals are mapped to and from asynchronous E3 and DS3 signals accordingly. The interfaces to a multiple-segment byte-parallel SDH/SONET formatted bus are at STM-1/STS-3 byte rate of 19.44Mbyte/s. |
