    This EODS3 is a LAN to WAN converter that provides conversion from 10/100M Ethernet to DS3 frame. The EODS3 provides 25M bits/s byte interface with 2.5M bits/s control bus (MDIO). The EODS3 support standard based GFP Frame encapsulation/de-capsulation with (X 43 +1) scramble and optional FCS (32-bit CRC).
    The External 32-bit SDRAM interface is employed to buffer the burst FE traffic from MII. Maximum 2K-byte and minimum 64-byte Ethernet length are checked. The illegal FE packets such as CRC-error packet and runt/over- size packet can be optional dropped or pass through.
    The framer block will search DS3 frame in either  M13 or C-Parity mode. The EODS3 provides alarm reports for LOS, LOF, AIS, Idle and FERF (Far-End Receive Failure), It also provides code-violation, frame-error, parity error and FEBE counters for performance monitoring.
